During the last seven years a remarkable and very cruel epidemic has haunted the country of Sweden. Refugee children are forced by refugee adults to suddenly act severely ill just before or when they are denied asylum. They are forced into a state where they don’t move, don’t talk, don’t eat, don’t look around. They just lie quiet and silent in their beds with eyes shut. But Swedish press and media just talk about the symptoms and the sad fate of the children. The media never mention that the symptoms are caused by threats and assaults by adult refugees. This is too politically incorrect to mention. The public realise the atrocities anyway and try to get all that substantiate their fears of hoax and abuse into the public media debate, but the journalists cling on to their favourite theme; that the children’s symptoms are caused by a post traumatic stress disorder and that adult refugees have nothing to do with it.
Strangely and upsettingly to the public, the children are treated by their accompanying adults plus some weekly support by mobile State Medical Service teams. They are fed by tubes. Many stay like this in bed for months and years. When given asylum, which often is the result as Swedish law states that children that are ill enough should be granted asylum, some recover. The recovery is though not complete as the children seem to be traumatised by the process. Quite a few though stay severely ill i.e. they continue to lie totally silent and still. In other words they cant move or communicate for months or years even though given asylum. This we know from some severely damaged children that can’t be discharged from care because they have now developed a state of real disorder. I.e. in starting acting ill at a vulnerable age, 8-14 years of age, it seems they can’t become normal again if their acting has been going on for too long. What from the start was just a cruel theatre seems to have turned into a severe psychiatric factitious disorder.
The epidemic has so far been a nightmare for the political establishment. But some say now it might develop into some kind of collapse for the media establishment and cultural elite. Namely it slowly begins to show that the epidemic is a product of malingering by proxy, i.e. asylum seeking adults severely abuse the children in threatening and intimidating them to act paralytic.
Copycat mechanisms created and stimulated by conformistic Swedish media are also at hand. Swedish journalists have for years threatened and defamed doctors and politicians who have dared to speak up against the atrocities, labelling them xenophobic and right wing. But now the bubble might begin to burst. Sad to say it goes very slowly, because how does a bubble created by media burst in a country where no one in media wants it to burst as its content will splash into every journalists face?
 Political Issue In the year 2005 the Labour party, then ruling the country of Sweden, almost had to resign because of this controversial issue of how to best treat severely ill refugee children. The communists party and the green party then demanded asylum to all ill children. The former migration minister Barbro Holmberg described the situation as “a humanitarian catastrophe”. Of course Barbro Holmberg was right. When one thousand or more vulnerable refugee children become totally autistic and tube fed for years it is a humanitarian catastrophe. Swedish media still asks what the cause to this unexplainable epidemic is? An epidemic that even rendered an article in the British Medical Journal 1st December 2008 titled “Report Sparks Controversy over Children’s Psychiatric Symptoms”. BMJ had the courage to mention that some doctors in Sweden regarded the epidemic to be “hoax and severe child abuse”. An expression like this, i.e. “hoax and severe child abuse” has not even until this very day, November 18th 2009, ever been a headline or pronounced in Sweden. Although there have been hundreds of media talk shows in radio and TV over the issue. At most, politically correct journalists have mentioned that “some ignorant doctors, right wing extremists and xenophobic, have expressed views that the children are forced to act ill, but this is strongly rebuked by professional paediatricians”. Extraordinary CircumstancesSweden today is very different from what it used to be. It used to be a homogenous population with a strict protestantic religious ethic, quite different to the extreme liberal agenda that is the political mantra of Sweden today. The multicultural and liberal agenda is very robust and promoted by probably the most owner concentrated media power in any western country. A few families own up to approximately seventy-eighty percentage of the daily press and publishing houses. There is strong consensus among the general population that Sweden is governed more by journalists than politicians. The highest priority for the press is to promote a multicultural society, i.e. working for as many immigrants as possible allowed to enter the country. This is probably one of the reasons why doctors with opinions that might be apprehended as deviating from the multicultural agenda have had difficulties to be allowed media space in Sweden. This has had disastrous consequences for the refugee children as Swedish biased media have made it possible for the atrocities to continue under a disguise of medical and parental care. |
 One other unique circumstance in Sweden is that it is the country in the world that has the highest percentage of its population on life long incapacity benefits. In fact more than 15 percent of the population is on incapacity benefits, three times the number in England or Germany where the corresponding figures are 5-6 percent. This might partly be due to a strong tradition among Swedish doctors, politicians and media never to talk about malingering or illness deception. In other words it has been the routine for a Swede or a recently arrived immigrant that don’t want to work just to go to the G.P. or psychiatrist to fabricate symptoms and a traumatic life story and then tell that they consider themselves too weak and ill for work. The result has been a document with a diagnosis and an assessment that the patient is unfit for work. And as the patient, according to himself when visiting the G.P. or psychiatrist next time don’t feel in better shape, of course he gets a new document implicating illness and after some years he/she has a document that state his permanent incapacity for work - for life. This means that he or she is granted benefits of approx. 1000 GBP monthly for the rest of his/her life. Many inborn Swedes and immigrants have abused Swedish medical doctors routine never to use the diagnosis of malingering, in order to easily earn a fortune. When a permanent incapacity document is achieved many arrange the monthly payment automatically to be transferred from a Swedish bank to a bank in their country of origin and then they just go back to the country they fled from and e.g. start businesses funded in this way or just live a comparatively luxurious life. |
Summary and Warning for Sweden?
So in short, the very enigmatic epidemic of unconscious children in Sweden might be simply, as B.M.J states quoting silenced Swedish doctors, “A hoax and severe child abuse” in order for the adults accompanying the child to win asylum in a country with extremely advantageous benefits for the newcomers.
According to Swedish doctors that have spoken out against this system, but been silenced by the liberal elite in media being labelled xenophobics, the adults encourage or force the children to stay absolutely quiet and still in bed until they receive asylum.
Of course, if this is the case which it probably is, it is severe child torture going on in a country that has signed United Nations Child Convention. It is well described outside Sweden, and upsettingly silenced in Sweden, that children under this kind of assaults develop severe factitious disorders, i.e. they believe they are truely ill and they have severe difficulties to normalise their pattern of thinking. This was recently well described in England in the newspapers The Sun and The Times where a fraud mother encouraged and forced her child to be fed by tube and sit in a wheelchair for years, in order to claim benefits. The case was heard in Exeter Crown Court in England October this year 2009. The boy is now with foster parents.
So, the solution to understand the unconscious refugee children in Sweden is touching two taboos. One is conformistic press that at any price promote the multicultural society. The other is Swedish medical establishment’s denial of malingering and malingering by proxy as relevant for understanding the issue. This is probably one taboo too much so one doubts if this issue can be solved without help from abroad.
Besides this tragedy regarding refugee children in Sweden there is another tragedy coming up in this country. Not surprisingly, because of the high number of population on permanent incapacity benefits.
Swedish politicians now speak about retirement age must be increased up to seventy five, or so, years of age. In other words; decent people who have worked all their life must continue to work almost until they die, this to support hundreds of thousands of persons on incapacity benefits that probably would not have had a chance to get equal benefits in Germany or England.
So at least from these aspects, the refugee epidemic and an ever increasing retirement age, it would probably be a nightmare for Europe as a whole to look to Sweden as a role model. It may be time for Europe to issue a warning against the bankrupt Swedish model.
If not for anything else so to protect vulnerable refugee children. Some have probably been bought at human markets in the Far East for the purpose to act ill. DNA testing to prove relationship is forbidden in Sweden. This is well known by traffickers. Some children we assume are under death threats. With great worry we hear from the organisation Save the Children that in the report that is referred to in British Medical Journal December 2008, those who made the study report could not get into contact with any of the thirty children the study was meant to investigate. The researchers were able to contact some of the adults, but these said that they did not want to be contacted. So where are the children now? Are they back in their country of origin and silenced in one way or another? We all know what traffickers are able to pursue, but this is forbidden to write or speak about in Swedish media.
The newspaper National Today will within the next months translate a review article regarding the tragic copycat epidemic of malingering by proxy assaults by adults on refugee children arriving to Sweden.
